Oh my gosh.....I am terrible at updating! In my defense..even though I have been umemployed for a very long time...I am unemployed no more! I officially got rehired at Sears AND Six Flags. Ok...so...I may have sworn that I would never work for either company again...but I got two words for ya: the economy...and one more: sucks. A job is a job is a job and I can't wait to start working again....and I don't care in what capacity at this point. I can't wait to start making money...money I could use to buy yarn...which I actually need...desperately.
Unfourtnatly...I like to make all the color schemes in oranges and browns. I love the Vanna's Choice yarn by Lion's Brand because it is cheap and it is great to work with. However...I have started so many...many projects using the color scheme... and the yarn...that I am starting to run out quickly. Which is bothersome...since I have soo many projects to finish.
On the project front, I am half way through my Larger than Life bag....I have one panel done...just need to whipstich...and to do that, I may need the guidance of my SnB yarn buddies. That project has taken priority...since I am going to start work soon and I need a decent sized bag to carry all of my various things (like yarn...and notebook...and book...).
On the book front, I find that I have not been reading at all like I had planned...I need to ge on that. I have so many awesome books that I can't wait to read...and...no place to put them. I am making it my project tomorrow to organize the bedroom...and that is going to be daunting. I bought a bookshelf...but it is time for some furniture rearrangment and purging. I will hopefully be able to post a progression soon (as an added incentiveto get it done!)
Okie Dokie...time to make a to-do list!
Happy hooking!

Ten on Tuesday...on Saturday!
Ok..so..as I was poking around my blogs..I noticed that several (ok..2) keep having these Ten on Tuesday posts! I decided to do some digging (because I want to play!) and I found the blog! So...even though it isn't Tuesday...and I really like the topic...I am going to this weeks Ten on Tuesday...on Saturday!
Ten Favorite Articles of Clothing
1. Beat-up black plaid chuck-like shoes from Wet Seal: I love these shoes! They are cute, comfy and just the right amount of broken it to make them look cool!
2. Army green jacket: I love this coat...for the comfort/retro awesomeness and the sentimental value...everytime I put it on I feel like I am ready to take on "the man" and join the revolution!
3. 4" stilletto, pointy toe high heel collection: Secret love of mine...since I don't wear them often enough. I always feel so pretty and sofisticated when I slip a pair of those baby's on. They come in black, brown and fire engine red.
4. Brown plaid pea coat: The 70's called and no...they can NOT have their coat back. I adore my brown plaid pea coat, with the little hints of blue and white and the most amazing collar ever...when I flip it up, I look like a very chic vampire! It is comfy and warm-ish.
5. Loud plaid Mod dress: ...not the most flattering dress ever....but I don't care! I love it! It looks cute with heels or boots...and it looks straight out the 60's. It is a navy blue/red/orange/purple plaid cordoroy dress with 3/4-length sleeves and a row a big buttons down the front. Love it!
6.Lane Byrant right fit jeans: The only jeans that I have ever owned that didn't need to be hemmed.
7. Extensive and growing purse collection: Some I have been given, many I have bought...I could not live with out any of them. I have many...many...many...bags. Amoung my favorites are my little red vintage handbag that traveled all around Paris with me, my black and white houndstooth clutch with burgandy croc-look accents that I bought on the first Black Friday I didn't have to work, and my over-sized black hobo that I can fit a winter coat into.
8. Old Navy 3/4 length v-neck shirt: I have a brown and red on that are still going strong...and they are super cool (and...they make my boobs look great....just sayin')
9. Cardigans: I love my cardigans...they have become a staple...because it is cold in New England.
10. Hand-made scarfs: They each get equal treatment and show time...I am proud of them!

Tales of a Serial Project Starter
Well...I have started many projects lately...and I haven't finished any of them. No bueno. No progress has been made on the granny square throw...but I am thinking of taking it in a new direction. Um...started a baby blanket...no much further on that....and my knock off Larger Than Life bag has been put on hold since I FINALLY found the original pattern!
On the Larger Than Life bag...it is the first pattern I have been able to follow and I am now looking forward to finishing it....so I can start another pattern project. I have been banned from buying any new yarn until I finish the projects I have already started....which sucks. However, desperate times call for desperate measures. I am starting a "To Do" list for both life and crochet. It is time to finish what I start! I made that a resolution and I plan to stick with it, dammit! And that goes with updating this blog...I vow to keep this up! Oy...
